Vistalon™ 706 is an ethylene-propylene copolymer specifically engineered for use in automotive power transmission accessory drive belts. Besides offering good tear strength and flex-crack resistance, it outperforms chloroprene rubber in heat-aging resistance, and is a much lower-cost alternative to hydrogenated nitrile rubber. Vistalon™ 706 is also widely used in other peroxide-cured thermoset applications.
